In short
Hollow Square collects no personal data. The app has no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no server of its own. Everything you enter — singings, minutes, leaders, pages, your leading notes, drill progress, settings, and saved links — is stored only in the app's own storage on your device and is never sent anywhere, except when you yourself choose to share it or open a saved web link.

Camera and photo library
If you choose to, you can attach a photo of the class or a sign-in sheet to a singing's minutes. The app asks for camera access only at that moment and only if you tap to take a photo; you can also pick an existing photo from your library through the system picker, which does not require any permission grant. The photo is saved only inside the app's own local storage — it is never uploaded or shared unless you explicitly use the Share action.
Notifications
If you turn on the weekly singing reminder in Settings, the app asks for local notification permission at that point. The reminder is scheduled and delivered entirely on your device; no remote or push notification service is used, and nothing about your reminder is sent off the device.
In-app browser
The Links tab opens singing announcements and convention sites you've saved inside a built-in browser, so you never have to leave the app. Pages you open there are loaded directly from the site you chose, the same as any web browser; Hollow Square does not track, log, or collect what you view there.
Third parties and tracking
Hollow Square does not use advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or any third-party tracking technology. No data is sold, shared, or transmitted to any company, and the app does not track you across other apps or websites.
Data you choose to share
Sharing minutes or a saved link uses Apple's standard share sheet. Where that data goes after that point is entirely up to you and whichever app or service you choose to share it with.
Children's privacy
Hollow Square is a general-audience reference tool with no account, no social features, and no data collection, and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
